One Planet United All Cultures Respected ♬ ♪

Yeah!  This title came to me for my next blob post on the Supermoon, Blue Red Eclipse January 31, 2018, (thank you Longhaired Woodchuck).  Three days later, a huge musical inspiration comes into my life.  I found Playing for Change on youtube.  I saw Buddy Guy on a thumbnail, and he's one of my ♬ ♪ faves, and he was playing this song for Playing for Change...

Playing for Change do wonderful things for kids from all over the world, getting them instruments and connecting kids to musicians, and collaborating playing tunes with musicians all over the world.  Great musicians lend themselves to the project.  We kept playing songs from the channel last night, crying with joy and inspiration.  It is perfect for these troubled times, and really speaks to our One Planet United, All Cultures Respected theme.

When I was little I took piano lessons.  I wasn't very good at it, but it helped me have appreciation for music, which was important in my family. They told me I had a good singing voice.  My brother went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, and played in bands in clubs around the city.  It was really fun going to those gigs, back in the day.  I never really had the time to practice an instrument.

Supermoon, 1/31/2018

Last December, I got a Waterman by Kala, pink Ukulele.  It's adorable, and I practiced almost every day for about 6 months, but I suck at it and fell out of practicing.  Lately I pull it out occasionally and tune it, and play little rifs by ear with music on.  A friend recommends a song to practice: "See you in my dreams".

Yesterday I splurged, and ordered a little double set of tuneable bongo drums, and a 30 note glockenspiel.  So excited!  Wondering what is going on to bring music into my life this way.   Maybe it's the Supermoon we just had, the full moon at the closest orbit to Earth, it's perigee.  It was in Leo, 11 degrees, conjuct the asteroid Ceres at 11 degrees.  There's that 11 number of synchronicity.  Leo rules recreation.  Neptune is in it's home sing of Pisces, which rules music.

Oddball

Speaking of wonderful causes,  just saw this movie, Oddball, based on a true story. 

It is about a chicken farmer's dog of the Maremma Sheepdog breed.  ('Maremma' in Italian is an expression that is a respectful way to exlaim 'Madonna', a sort of swear.)  'Oddball' is a big beautiful white dog that gets into all kinds of trouble and does not guard the chickens.  He ends up having a calling as a protector of an endangered species of Fairy Penguin.  It is set in the town of Warrnambool, City of Hobsons Bay, Parks Victoria, Australia and the penguins live on Middle Island.

Reminders of the beauty on this planet. Humanity could be so beautiful if we were just allowed to be, and could break free from the shackles of our current corrupt greedy parasitic system.  There are so many good people out there who care and respect the land and it's animals.
